The USCCB could add it’s weight to uncovering this details but they won’t.

The more fundamental question is: Does the Vatican care more about their flock or the profits the church can amass? Jesus' ministry was replete with emphasis on love, faith and grace, not money. He specifically repelled any focus on profit associated with a church. The Catholic Christian sect has shown throughout history that power and money are primary focuses, even before Jesus' love, faith and grace. It is, of course, up to each person to decide how their faith is manifest, but we also know that people, in general, are susceptible to fear as a motivator. Jesus used love as a motivator. However, the focus from the Pope on down pushes hard for the financial support. Not that they are unique in this approach, but there have been times in history in which Popes focused exclusively on high personal living and world domination. It may be tempered today, but is still a prime focus of church "business". So, Christians have to weigh their participation in light of "what we are told to do by the church" vs. what Jesus' philosophy was. So, it would not surprise me if there are secret financial arrangements made at the expense of Catholics worldwide. However, it is up to those who contribute the money to make those discernments. Of course more light on the actual "business" of the Vatican will help them see the truth. If they are confused, just remember, Jesus was focused on love, not on "business". What would Jesus do?
